Holy Spirit Northside (HSN) is a private, not-for-profit provider of acute hospital care for up to 164 inpatients. First established on Wickham Terrace, overlooking the city of Brisbane, HSN continues today to offer wide ranging medical and surgical services in the city's northern suburbs under joint partnership of the Sisters of Charity and the Holy Spirit Missionary Sisters.

Since relocating the facility to Chermside in 2001, HSN is continuing the tradition of excellence by delivering services with the same care and respect that has always been the trademark of their respective cultures and approach to all activities. All up both orders of religious sisters have been providers of hospital and aged care services totalling more than two hundred years in Queensland and New South Wales.

HSN, co-located with The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH), is contributing significantly to the teaching and research roles in cardiology treatment and through their close cooperation the two facilities are placed in good stead to create Australia's pre-eminent acute cardiac centre and one of the world's best cardiac campuses.
