Holy Spirit Northside (HSN) Private Hospital, opened in July 2001, is an acute tertiary facility with 164 beds. Our facilities include an Emergency Centre, 8 Operating Theatres, an Intensive Care Unit, Day Surgery Unit, Cardiac Ward, and two Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. The hospital provides a broad range of health care services to greater Brisbane and the wider community with a full range of surgical specialties including Cardio-Thoracic, Orthopaedic, general and major colorectal surgery.

Holy Spirit Northside is a private, not-for-profit provider of acute hospital care under joint partnership of the Sisters of Charity and the Holy Spirit Missionary Sisters. HSN is one of a core group of health and aged care facilities managed by St Vincent’s and Holy Spirit Health (Queensland). Others in the group include St Vincent’s Hospital, Toowoomba; Mt Olivet Hospital, Kangaroo Point, and Caritas Care (Aged Care and Retirement Services).

Holy Spirit Northside is co-located with The Prince Charles Public Hospital in the suburb of Chermside, approximately 15km north of the heart of Brisbane – Queensland’s Capital City.

Holy Spirit Northside offers a 12 month Graduate Nursing Program for nurses who have recently completed their undergraduate degree/diploma. This program provides individualised and structured learning to allow beginning practitioners to develop their knowledge and clinical skills.
