APHS - YOUR PHARMACY PARTNER AT HOLY SPIRIT NORTHSIDE

APHS provides a quality pharmacy service that is attentive to the needs of hospital patients. During your stay at Holy Spirit Northside you will meet members of our highly skilled pharmacy team. Their role is to ensure you receive the medication and relevant information to support your ongoing treatment.

To get you back on your feet, our pharmacists provide a wide range of assistance.

  • On admission your practitioner may request that our pharmacist review your current medications. This will ensure you are taking the medication that is best suited to your needs.

  • Prior to discharge our pharmacist may visit you to give advice regarding your ongoing medication regime. This is important to ensure you have the required knowledge to administer your medications correctly for a successful recovery.

  • In addition to advice you may receive a discharge medication profile. This is an overview of what medicines you have been given during your hospital stay. It is important that you discuss this profile with your General Practitioner in order to know what medications you are taking and monitor your progress and recovery.

In addition to caring for your needs, we welcome your visitors, relatives and hospital staff to visit our pharmacy. Located on ground floor level near the coffee shop, we provide a wide range of script and over-the-counter medications; we also stock your favourite gifts, chocolates and flowers for all occasions.

EMERGENCY CENTRE

HSN Map Brisbane Northside Private Emergency Centre handles all conditions with the exception of major multi-trauma which is managed by the public sector system. Children are also catered for at this centre.

The service is conducted by a group of emergency medicine specialists and has one of the best staffing profiles in Australia.

Patients choosing this centre will receive very fast professional and personal care in a facility backed up by a fully comprehensive and ultramodern private hospital. The aim of the service is to give patients an option for care in an emergency, involving speed, choice and high standards.

Health Insurance is not required for outpatient visits, so anyone can attend. Governments and Health Funds do not provide financial support for emergency centres in private hospitals so a visit attracts an out-of-pocket fee from $250 after Medicare refund.

Health Insurance is only required for those patients requiring admission into the hospital.
